Acqua E Farina Pizza Romana Opens in North Bellmore
Pizzeria serves up a wide variety of flavors on their slices, including blueberry.
Acqua E Farina opened in North Bellmore recently and by the sound of it, this is not your typical Long Island slice. These pizzas have everyone all fired up.
The menu is filled with goodness, including paninis, salads and their specialty pizza pies. The Honey G has Sauce, mozzarella, provolone, spicy sausage, honey drizzle and olive oil ($24.99). The Blueberry pie has mozzarella prosciutto, goat cheese, blueberries, honey drizzle and olive oil ($24.99). The Pistachio has mozzarella, ricotta, caramelized onions, pistachio and olive oil ($24.99).
Mike A said he stopped in for the first time and picked up five random specialty slices. He went on to describe his choices, some most on Long Island have never heard of before.
“All of them were excellent, one had blueberries and cheese, one was sausage and ricotta, another had chicken and a harder cheese, perhaps provolone, one was eggplant. Etc,” he said.
He elaborated on how different the pizzeria was.
“If you don’t want normal New York Pizza, or want to try something a little different and more authentic, I can definitely recommend this restaurant,” he said. “Great stuff! Glad they opened here.”
Tiffany M, from East Meadow, also tried their different slices.
“The blueberry slice is a delicious lunch slice,” she said, though at first she wasn’t 100% convinced. “At first I wasn’t sure I’d like it but I was blown away with how well the flavors worked. Pistachio is a great go to if you want caramelized onions. I literally switch between all three slices when I go.”
Kirsten E, from Long Beach, gave them five stars on Yelp.
“Absolutely amazing and delicious,” she wrote. “Second time eating here. And will probably become a weekly visit! Go support this great business and keep them in town for as long as they’ll stay!”
