Canadian Food Chain, New York Fries, Opens in Smith Haven Mall

New York Fries, a Canadian restaurant chain that offers fresh-cut fries as a main course and hot dogs as a side, is opening a new location in Smith Haven Mall today. This is the brand’s second location in New York following a store in Roosevelt Field mall.

The mall and rest stop chain has over 130 restaurants internationally.

New York Fries has a menu that features freshly cut fries, made with Idaho potatoes, served plain or loaded with a variety of toppings including beef chili, pulled pork, queso and crumbled bacon. Also on the menu, a classic Canadian delicacy – poutine – topped with beef gravy and Wisconsin cheese curds. New York Fries features all-beef grilled hot dogs and an array of loaded dog options.

“Between our initial restaurant in Roosevelt Field and our most recent opening in Jersey City, we’ve received such a warm welcome since officially re-entering the U.S.,” said Craig Burt, Chief Operating Officer at New York Fries in a statement.

New York Fries are cooked with non-hydrogenated sunflower oil. Nothing else goes into the fryers except potatoes, the brand appeals to those with dietary and allergen restrictions, serving vegan, vegetarian and gluten-friendly items, according to the company.
