Cherry-Dipped Cones Are Coming Back to Dairy Queen

The rumors are true. After a year-long absence of fan-favorite cherry-dipped soft serve ice cream cones from Dairy Queen, the restaurant has announced that they are coming back.

A People Magazine story revealed that a Michigan DQ manager let loose the news on Tik Tok.

When it was originally discontinued, DQ hinted that it might be back again.

“DQ is always rotating our dipped cone flavors and Cherry Dipped Cones may return in the future. Fans should check with their local DQ restaurant to learn which flavors are available,” the company said in a statement reported in the People story.

TikTok user @dqshelbytwpmi, who is a district manager at DQs in Michigan named Miranda, broke the news in a post this year that the cherry-dipped cone was coming back.

There are five Dairy Queen locations open on Long Island, including Medford, Mastic, St, James, East Northport, and Massapequa.

“We know our fans love the Cherry Dipped Cone, and we’re excited to bring this sweet offering back for a limited time at participating locations,” said a representative of the brand. “We are always innovating our menus to showcase delicious new and fan-favorite flavors for our iconic dipped cone.”

No word on an exact date yet.

DQ also brought back two iconic St. Patrick’s Day treats: the Under the Rainbow Shake and the Mint Brownie Blizzard Treat.

Under the Rainbow Shake is a cup with a mixture of magical strawberry flavor and rainbow sprinkles blended with creamy DQ vanilla soft serve and topped with whipped topping and rainbow sprinkles. Mint Brownie Blizzard Treat has chocolatey brownie pieces, choco chunks, and cool mint blended with DQ’s vanilla soft serve.
