Fat Boy’s Burrito Opening in Patchogue
Fat Boy’s Burrito, with locations in Bellmore and East Northport (the website says a location in Levittown is also coming soon), is opening up shop in Patchogue. The fast-casual Mexican restaurant is taking over the former location of The Hero Joint at 74B East Main Street in Patchogue (next to the library in the parking lot behind Main Street.) The Hero Joint closed last year.
The new location of Fat Boy’s Burrito is yet to be officially announced but a mural is already up at the new spot. A worker at the site also confirmed the Fat Boy’s Burrito is opening there. Inside a vibrant Mexican-themed mural adorns one wall with sugar skull girls in multicolored dresses, rose tiaras and tattoos that say, “I Love Fatboys.”

Former location of The Hero Joint will be the new Fat Boy’s Burrito.
Someone who answered the phone at the Bellmore Fat Boy’s Burrito said they plan to open in Patchogue in about a month. They also confirmed that they still plan to open a location in Levittown but that will take a little longer.
