Ginza Reopens in Levittown

Ginza reopened up in Levittown this year. The restaurant relocated from a much larger stand-alone place in Massapequa (a beautifully architectured building on Carmans Road near the Sunrise Mall) and moved into the old Tai Show spot in Gardiners Plaza.

Ginza had been known as one of the best sushi bars on Long Island before it closed in Massapequa in 2020. The new place has new fans and is bringing back old ones.

They offer a selection of ala carte sushi and sashimi including some classic rolls we all have come to expect. Chef special rolls include an Angel roll with tuns, salmon, yellowtail, avocado, cucumber, caviar and kelp paper ($15), the Syosset with spicy tuna and avocado ($15), the Red Devil with spicy tuna, crunch, black pepper tuna and callion ($16) and the Sexy Model with spicy tuna, crunch, tuna, ikura (salmon eggs) and scallion ($16).

On Yelp, Kaitlyn C gave them five stars and was happy to find them back.

“This was my favorite sushi spot before they closed in Massapequa,” she said. “I lived a few blocks away and was there at least weekly. I was so excited to find out they reopened a spot in Levittown.”

Lil Miss J loved it.

“Levittown’s hidden treasure,” she said.

Location: 170A Gardiners Avenue, Levittown, (516) 882-9688.
