IHOP in Port Jefferson Station Set to Open on Tuesday, March 19th
The IHOP on Route 347 in Port Jefferson Station is set to open on Tuesday, March 19th, according to a number of employees at the old location of the restaurant. The employees said that the last day the restaurant on Route 112 was open was Sunday, March 17th as employees transitioned over to the new spot.
The popular sit-down breakfast joint has renovated the space at 4837 Nesconset Highway, which sat vacant for over three years before IHOP chose to move in to the location. The space next to School of Rock has had a long list of tenants Including Wahlburgers and before that it was Eldorado Southern Bar & Grill and Road Trip American Ale House. Back in 1968 the building was put up as an octagon restaurant building and in 1975 an addition was put on. Many also remember it as Driftwood Inn.
There is no word on what will happen to the old location at 513 Route 112 as of yet.
