Inca’s Peruvian Cuisine Opens in Sound Beach at Former Italian Restaurant Space
After a number of pizzerias and Italian-style restaurants rotated through the space over the last few years (including most recently LaFamiglia Italian Restaurant) Inca’s Peruvian Cuisine opened in June at 157 Whitestone Road in Sound Beach. The unique corner location faces New York Avenue and is on the intersection with both Northport Road and Whitestone Road making it visible to traffic through the small downtown of South Beach.
The Peruvian food spot had its grand opening on July 28th serving “a carefully crafted menu showing the best of Peruvian gastronomy, paired with refreshing drinks and music,” according to their Facebook page.
The menu offers rotisserie chicken, parihuela, a spicy seafood soup, tallarines verdes steak, a ceviche made with raw fish, marinated in fresh lime juice and served with red onions, Peruvian corn, and sweet potatoes, among other Peruvian dishes.
Less than a month old, the restaurant is already getting rave reviews on Yelp.
“Yeesssss!!! This place is legit. It’s so good, wrote Tracy A, from Port Jefferson. “The ambience is great, nice and big tables with lots of space, beautiful decor. The people were very nice and helpful.”
