Little Charli Pizzeria Opens at Former El Turco Spot in East Hampton
Little Charli, a pizzeria with East Hampton style, opened on Memorial Day weekend at 44 Three Mile Harbor Road, former home to Turkish eatery, El Turco (and nightclubs like Finale East Hampton, among others). The owners of the property have had plans to convert it into a mixed-use development but first, some pizza.
Founded by Chris Reda of the Drink & Enjoy Crew, Little Charli is a rustic pizzeria that promises to be a hotspot for both locals and visitors, offering late-night hours, a full menu, and pizza-making classes.
There is a location of Little Charli in the West Village in Manhattan as well.
At the heart of Little Charli East Hampton is Pizzaiolo Salvatore Olivella, a maestro of Roman-style pizza. Olivella’s impressive resume includes stints at top-tier pizza establishments in New York and internationally, with specialties ranging from La Vera Pizza Napoletana to La Pizza al Taglio. His experience includes contributions to notable pizzerias like Rossopomodoro at Eataly, Danny Meyer’s Marta, and Serafina.
Olivella’s menu at Little Charli East Hampton is a testament to his expertise, featuring family recipes and a signature 34-hour fermentation process. The wood-burning oven, using cherry and oak wood, imparts a distinct smoky flavor and crispy crust to the pizzas.
Signature dishes include the Chef’s Pie, a lavish 1-meter-long pizza adorned with prosciutto, burrata, arugula, shallots, and fresh truffle shavings, and the Godfather, meant for sharing. Other standout pizzas are the Margarita, Snow White, and the spicy Diablo with Soppressata and honey. Favorites from the West Village location, like the beef and pork blend Meatballs and Uncle Fluffy’s S’mores Pie, also make an appearance.
Exclusive to East Hampton are a variety of appetizers such as Calamari, Riceballs, and Charcuterie, and mains like Veal Alla Milanese and Chicken Paillard. The menu also features refreshing salads, including a Watermelon Salad, and pastas like Rigatoni ala Vodka and Linguine with Clams. Desserts include Bombolini, Mini Calzones, and Italian Ice, perfect for summer.
Little Charli East Hampton is offering pizza-making classes on Sundays and Thursdays, ideal for date nights, bridal events, and family fun. The space is available for private events, adding a special touch to any celebration.
