Lucas II The Dominican Spot in Oceanside Opening July 5th
For those who have been waiting in Oceanside for Lucas II The Dominican Spot to open, your patience will be rewarded on July 5th. Employees at Lucas Dominican Restaurant, their original spot in Baldwin, confirmed the opening date. Hours are not set yet but expect them to be open from around 8 am until 10 pm daily. (Weekend hours might vary.) Not many details about the restaurant were available aside from their planned opening date next Friday.
This is the second location of Lucas, which specializes in Dominican food.
“Family owned and operated business with an extensive menu. We offer an open display steam table, as well as a diner room and a bar, where our customers can enjoy a variety of deliciously prepared Dominican dishes,” the owners posted online. “Our mission is not only to have a great authentic Dominican food, but also to provide an efficient and superior service. Customer satisfaction is our primary objective.”
The location used to be BurgerFi, which was remodeled in 2018 before closing its doors. A Chimichurri Charcoal Chicken opened in 2021 until that spot closed in January 2023, according to yeahthatskosher.com.
