Mufu Hibachi and Sushi Opens in Garden City
Opens in City Park Plaza shopping center.
A new sushi and hibachi spot opened up on Jericho Turnpike in the City Park Plaza shopping center. Mufu Hibachi and Sushi took over the location that once was the home of Harsay Salon (the salon moved into the spot next door after Payless Shoes went out of business).
You can order hibachi chicken ($8.65), beef ($9.45), shrimp ($9.65), salmon ($9.95) or tofu ($8.65) with mixed vegetables and rice or noodles. Specialty sushi rolls include their Green Dragon Roll with shrimp tempura and avocado, a Cherry Blossom Roll with salmon avocado and crab meat, or the Dancing Roll, which is a California roll with spicy crab and shrimp (all $9.95).
You can also choose a sushi bowl with two proteins and served with sushi rice, seaweed salad, edamame, cucumber, avocado, pineapple, carrots and corn ($12.99).

“The food is so delicious,” he said. “Love the yum yum sauce.Always ask for extra sauce. The service is very fast.”

“Ordered the chicken hibachi and salmon lover’s roll was so pleasantly surprised at how fresh and tasty both were,” he wrote. “Really excited to explore more of the menu and order again.”
