Oklahoma-Based Hot Dog Restaurant is Expanding to Long Island With Two Locations

Planet Tubes Totally Tubular, a quick-service restaurant chain that started in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is bringing its creative comfort food to Long Island with two locations in Bayville and Hauppauge, according to reports and a real estate agent who worked on the deal.

Planet Tube’s menu says it features hot dogs topped with options like shredded steak, mini meatballs, and chili and cheese, alongside sandwiches, French fries, falafel, French toast, and more.

There is scant information about the restaurant online with no Google Business listing for their Oklahoma locations.

Their website has a retro-inspired 80s vibe and already lists the Hauppauge and Bayville locations as well as a Tulsa listing without specific addresses. An old post on their Instagram page also says they were opening in St. James and at another time a location in Levittown was plan. Neither have opened.

One Long Island location is set to open this fall at 80 Bayville Avenue in Bayville, with a another location coming to the Atrium Plaza shopping center in Hauppauge in the spring of 2025. Nick Evangelista of NY Space Finders helped secure the Bayville lease.

According to Evangelista, they have other locations in Oklahoma and the spot in Bayville was previously a Taquería spot. Before that it was the Oak Neck Deli for many years. The Hauppauge location will be at 902 Wheeler Road.

A report in Long Island Business says that Totally Tubular, said the expansion to Long Island was driven by customer demand and has plans to open even more.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
