Once Bitten Donuts in Massapequa Park Closing This Weekend

Sadly, Once Bitten Donuts, the company that sells the deliciously decadent donuts in Massapequa Park, has run out of time to make the donuts on Long Island. They announced they are closing their doors as of Sunday July 23rd. They broke the news today on Instagram and with a note on their website.

“We will be focusing on our Red Bank, NJ location and expanding South,” they said.

It was a bad news/good news announcement because all is not lost for all the Massapequa Park donut fans out there. Just after disappointing donut lovers, they gave the good news portion of their announcement:

“We will be ‘passing the donut’ to our friends Jimmy & Kelly over @nofodoco who will be taking over Massapequa Park & they are so excited to provide you with a ‘hole’ lot of deliciousness!”

North Fork Donut Company already has two spots on Long Island; one in Mattituck at 1000 Love Lane and in Bay Shore at 5 East Main Street.

“We cannot thank all of you enough for your support over the past couple of years,” the owner of Once Bitten Donuts wrote in her post. “It was a true pleasure to satisfy all of your cravings & so much fun making all of the crazy custom orders that you have challenged us with… The people of Massapequa Park are true gems…”

To say goodbye to Long Island, Once Bitten Donuts is offering everyone who comes in to purchase a donut this weekend a free donut. Choose either a Spice Up My World, a vanilla cake donut coated in traditional powdered cinnamon donut sugar, or Snow Much Fun, a vanilla cake donut coated in traditional powdered donut sugar.

We reached out to North Fork Donut Company for comment to see when they will be opening up in Massapequa Park. We will update this story when more information is available.
