Owners of Relish in Kings Park Announce Plans For Former Old Dock Inn Spot

It seems the owners of Relish, the elevated diner serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in King Park have plans for the former Old Dock Inn. They are opening a new restaurant called The Inlet.

“We are thrilled to hint at what’s coming next in Kings Park and for its surrounding towns, a unique, exceptional dining experience,” a message on the restaurant’s Facebook page said.

The property at 798 Old Dock Road had been listed for sale by Daniel Gale real estate for $2,150,000. Michael Tucker was the listing agent on the property.

Tucker said that the property was sold to the Relish owners about three years ago and was hoping they would eventually open something there.

“It’s a beautiful spot,” he said.

The waterfront restaurant had seated about 80 people with views of the Nissequogue River and the Long Island Sound. The building sits on just over a half of an acre.

“Working tirelessly alongside with the Smithtown Town Board, Relish Kings Park proudly shares the initial plans for this breathtaking waterfront dining experience located on Old Dock Road,” the social media post went on to say. “Although the history of the Old Dock Inn will never be replaced, this dining experience will bring new life to one of the most breathtaking locations on the North Shore.”

No word yet on the type of food that will be served at The Inlet.

“Stay tuned for more details and get ready to indulge in a dining experience like no other,” the Relish owners said.
