Schnitzels in Stony Brook Village Center Now Open
A new German restaurant in Stony Brook Village Center called Schnitzels, the result of a collaboration between the owners of Brew Cheese and Crazy Beans, is open.
Brew Cheese is a beer and cheese spot in Northport and Stony Brook. Crazy Beans is a breakfast and lunch restaurant with locations in Miller Place, Stony Brook and Greenport.
Schnitzels describes itself as a gastropub with German flair.
The Stony Brook Village Center announced the opening on its Facebook page on Thursday.

They are serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from 9am-9pm. Walk-ins welcome.
A sneak peek at their breakfast menu shows egg sandwiches like two eggs on a kaiser roll with bacon or bratwurst links ($8), a Black Forest breakfast with Black Forest ham, scrambled eggs, swiss and grilled apples on a pretzel roll ($10) and a Bratwurst egg sandwich with beer-braised bratwurst, scrambled eggs, muenster cheese and sweet German mustard on a pretzel roll ($9).
They also feature a Hopple Popple skillet with scrambled eggs, shredded potatoes, smoked sausage, cheddar and onions topped with bratwurst with a choice of pumpernickel, oat wheat or sourdough ($12).
They are also pouring beer and one of the restaurants Facebook posts tantalizes with a Schofferhofer Brewmosa Flight: sparkling brut mixed with 4 different flavors of Schofferhofer Hefe, pineapple, grapefruit, pomegranate, and watermelon mint.
