The Menu
The menu at Taj Crown of India features a wide variety of Indian dishes, including tandoori chicken, lamb korma, and chicken tikka masala. The restaurant also offers a lunch buffet with many different dishes to choose from – more than most Indian buffets.
Taj has five chefs preparing meals in the kitchen. Two curry chefs, one tandoor chef, one appetizer chef and one dessert chef.
Whereas before the old restaurant in that spot had an Indian-fusion concept, Taj promises to be more authentic.
Dr. Kumar, who went to university in the area, said he had to travel to get the type of Indian food they serve when he was in school.
“I used to starve for Indian food,” he said.
They also want to ensure that the non-Indian population gets a great experience with authentic Indian food, saying that if people start with the right dishes they will love it. The first time they have it will make or break the experience.
“India has so many flavors,” said Bobby Kumar. “We’re bringing that flavor here to this community.”
“We wanted to make sure people out here enjoy it,” added Nisha.
