The Argyle in Babylon to Reopen Under Lily Flanagan’s Restaurant Group

It was a bit of a tease. The Argyle Grill & Tavern in Babylon closed its doors in June after 24 years in business when owner Greg Bartolotta retired. At the time Barolotta said that Dark Horse Tavern would be taking over the space.

Turns out, things have changed.

The Lily Flanagan’s Restaurant Group, which owns The Local and Lily’s in Babylon, as well as the Villager in Farmingdale and the new Riverhead Brew House (at the former Peconic County Brewing spot), is taking over The Argyle at 90 Deer Park Avenue and keeping the name.

They announced the news on social media this week.

“Exciting news! We’re thrilled to announce our newest addition to the @lfrg_ny family 👀 Coming this fall check out @theargylebabylon 🍴Think chophouse, fine wines, bourbons, & cocktails – we can’t wait to serve you,” the announcement said. “The Argyle has been a staple in the Babylon Village community for over 20 years & we are honored to be able to continue that & share this new chapter with everyone ❤️ Follow along to stay updated!”

We will update this story as we get more information about the grand re-opening this fall.
