The Mackey Way Opens in Mount Sinai But 24-Hour Service Delayed
Mount Sinai residents can now enjoy bagels, sandwiches, and more with the grand opening of The Mackey Way, a new café and deli located in the Mount Sinai Shopping Center off Route 15A. Taking over the space once home to the popular Mt. Sinai Bagel Cafe, The Mackey Way has been highly anticipated as a promised 24-hour eatery.
While the store’s signage advertises 24-hour service, current hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. According to an employee, their around-the-clock hours are planned once the team is in place.
The Mackey Way offers a wide range of menu items, including bagels, pancakes, smoothies, protein shakes, açaí bowls, yogurt cups, and sandwiches. This diverse selection aims to cater to early risers, lunch-goers, and late-night diners alike.
The opening fills a much-missed gap in the community left by Mt. Sinai Bagel Cafe, with local residents expressing enthusiasm for having a new go-to spot in the shopping center.
For now, The Mackey Way welcomes customers daily from morning until late evening, with plans to expand hours in the near future.
